Location: Anchorage, AK
The Pilot’s responsibilities include transporting passengers and cargo on company aircraft while upholding Ryan Air’s safety standards. The Pilot will determine the safest routes, analyze flight plans and weather conditions, calculate fuel, and inspect operation systems and navigation equipment. Additionally, Pilots are to assist the ground crew with loading and unloading of company aircraft.
PART 135 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS [61.123(a), 135.245]:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have a minimum of 800 total flight hours. (Total flight time may be reduced at the discretion of the Chief Pilot)
Must have a valid Commercial Certificate Airplane Multi-Engine Land and Instrument rating with “English Proficient” endorsement, issued by U.S. Department of Transportation.
SAAB SIC type rating and experience preferred.
Must have a valid Second Class Medical Certificate, FAA Form 8500-9, issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation
No record of any FAA ‘Certificate Action’ within the prior 24 months.
Must have a current valid Driver’s license.
Must have a current valid U.S. Passport (or from other country of origin, on approval from the Chief Pilot).
Must be able to pass a TSA Background Check to obtain Airport Access Badge for airport location of employee’s assigned base
Must be able to pass a pre-employment DOT/FAA Drug Test.
Must be able to lift 70-100 lbs. Just entails heavy lifting when loading and unloading aircraft.
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Must be able to work a 1 week on/1 week off/1 week reserve schedule and expected to work a full duty day while on shift.
Must be able to live in company provided housing out in rural stations when flying in the out stations.
