Reports
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Safety and indirectly to the President and CEO.
What You’ll Do
The Safety Program Specialist conducts activities in support of the Safety Management System, the company’s Safety Culture, and Customer deliverables. Additional duties not directly related to safety are also required, including but not limited to flight or maintenance activities, support of the administrative team, support of advanced services operations, and other duties as assigned.
Duties
The Safety Program Specialist is required to:
-Champion safety as a company value
-Conduct audits and safety inspections
-Prepare written reports
-Produce analytical data regarding safety events, trends, and safety performance indicators
-Enter statistical data into internal and external databases
-Prepare draft manuals
-Conduct safety meetings
-Attend industry safety events including trainings, and conferences
-Participate in Company and third-party safety program audits
-Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-Valid FAA pilot’s license and medical certificate -or- valid FAA maintenance technician’s license
-A keen interest in safety
-Self motivation and ability to work independently when required and with teams and groups as needed
-Computer skills and the ability to learn new programs, applications, and processes quickly. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google productivity suites is required.
-High level of organization
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Attendance, Hours, and Travel
-Normal work schedule is 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday
-Some remote work is permitted
-Travel is required, up to 50% of work days
-Some early starts and late ends will be required based on travel
-Weekend work may be required in support of unusual or emergency situations

Compensation
Negotiable salary based on qualifications and experience.
